The enclosed decking houses furniture to encourage guests to dine alfresco in the sunshine, with a glass of their favourite beverage, before taking an indulgent dip in the hot tub. There is a bar on-site with variable opening times, as well as close-by walks through the local scenery.

Sherburn is a lovely countryside village with a convenience store for all of your essentials, and a local pub, The East Riding. From here, try out a game or two at Granton Golf Club, or take a scenic walk through the North Riding Forest Park, the North York Moors National Park, or the Hawardian Hills AONB, where there are sites to visit including North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Mallyan Spout Waterfall, Helmsley Castle, Rievaulx Abbey, and The Yorkshire Arboretum.

For a day spent beside the seaside, head over to the wonderful resort of Scarborough, where there is a lovely beach, loads of pubs, eateries, a museum, a gallery, and the fantastic Scarborough Castle, as well as walks along the Cleaveland Way, heading towards Hayburn Wyke Waterfall and beyond. Staithes, the historic town of Whitby with its abbey and Dracula Experience, and Robin Hood’s Bay are all well worth a visit, leaving you spoilt for choice with activities to fill your getaway.

Tortworth Lodge Reviews

Miscommunication with booking, not sure if this is Sykes or owners responsibility, no electric when arrive, hot tub was at 23 degrees, the van stunk unbelievably of dog, had to open doors, van was covered in dog hair including sofa & beds, the bed had long hairs in it & the pillow case looked like it had been wiped on floor, no heating until 7pm arrived at 3pm, had to hoover up before we could sit down & change bedding, the mattress protector has a urine stair & pillow protector has a blood stain, extractor fan in bathroom, socket in large bedroom not working, leaking radiator in small bedroom, broken cast iron ring holder fire hazard, hot tub only good for two people, advertised as new, a lot of wear & tear & needs some attention, ladies on the park where very helpful. Sykes App is appalling & the customer service is poor.

Found it a lovely place to stay and would defo come again , the only thing we would change would be a blind or glass frosted pane on the main door for privacy as it was very open for all to view and a small bathmat otherwise it met all what we wanted . Nice having Netflix to for when the weather was cold or rainy too
Amazing ppac3 with incredible views but the bed sheets was dirty and there was lots of bugs but overall this place is fantastic. 100 recommend.
