Travel by car to Lake Windermere, the largest natural lake in England, perfect for boating fishing, swimming, and soaking up panoramic views of the surrounding mountains; nearby you can also visit the Beatrix Potter Museum, as well as the author’s former home at Hill Top, preserved in its original state and giving visitors a glimpse into her life.
