The cottage is beautiful and in a great location. The welcome gifts were a nice touch! The free parking spaces were hardly ever available and because of the 2 hour limitation on the disc parking we had to use the pay and display car parks a couple of times.

Plenty of places to eat within easy walking distance. We visited Capri Italian twice and would definitely recommend, the owner is a friendly chap and the staff are great. The kings Head is okay for lunchtime and does a reasonable Sunday dinner. The hot tub is a useful addition, just what you need after a long walk. It's a lovely little cottage and would definitely stay again.

Contact regarding check in was easy .The location great for the centre of town and flat.. As regards parking we always managed to get a space opposite although it could be tight. The property was very clean and everything was to a very high standard with everything we needed. The property was quite dark which made it quite cold without the heating on but it was very hot while we were there so that was a blessing. The hot tub was a good temperatur. Loved our stay

Second time at the cottage. It is very comfortable and right in the centre of Richmond. Parking is a real problem, it's a cottage for 4 but there wasn't 4 of everything, sharp knives missing from the block, stains that looked like blood on the bedroom floor. The welcome pack has been down graded this time. Some attention needs,to be paid to the gar den itself, cleaned up and furniture repaired.

Lovely to come back to the hot tub after a day out. We found a great car park one minute walk away, nunsplace, which cost 15 for the week but you could use it at all richmondshire car parks and national trust car parks too. Great to find the house had a washer too! Will definitely stay again.

The photographs do not do the property justice, absolutely beautiful house which we felt at home in straight away. All extras are provided, e.g. tea towels, dishwasher tablets, salt and pepper, milk. Amazingly comfortable beds. We used the hot tub a lot in-between the Yorkshire rain, it was always hot and inviting. Only a short walk to Lidl, and in to town where they have lots of places to eat from cafes to pub grub and restaurants. Will definitely stay again.

What a wonderful place this is! Very luxurious yet homely at the same time. Everything you could need for a great holiday was included ( maybe a pair of kitchen scissors would be useful tho). Great location with much of Richmond walkable. Tons of lovely places to eat around the market square - we recommend the Gin and Tapas bar on French street cal led "29 Alehouse"- fab food, great drinks and very friendly staff. Staying in the Hidden Garden was such a treat we didn't want to leave.

This is the third time we have stayed at the house and it never disappoints. The house looks grand from the outside and elegant in the inside, the living room so cosy and very cool inside especially with the heatwave we had, kitchen is perfect with everything you need and big, hot tub is a great extra and we used it every day and the garden a sun t rap, the bedrooms are elegant too and we slept very well in the very large beds, a couple of things need a bit of attention,but still excellent.

We were very impressed with the location of 7 Temple Terrace, just a few minutes walk from the town centre and all amenities. Decor and furnishings are of the highest quality and comfort. Beds and bedding were also impressive. The secluded courtyard and hot-tub are invaluable assets for both day and evening use.

about 10 Miles

This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire. Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour. You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals. Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.

about 16 Miles

Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family. The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower. For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel. Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too. If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.

Fountains Abbey - HG4 3DY

about 20 Miles

This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families. Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit. The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
