Seamer Manor House Reviews

Debbie
Lovely property, very comfortable, would recommend and would stay again. Would like to apologise realise on way home forget to empty kitchen bin... sorry
A property with a wow factor. Nice and quiet but within walking distance of the main street with shop, pub, chip shop and lovely cafedeli. Great base for attractions in and around Scarborough and also within easy driving distance of Filey, Bridlington and Whitby. Comfortable beds in lovely rooms, though the top floor room would benefit from a fan because the window is very small. Nice bathrooms but watch out for the slow draining, walk in showers. A useful enclosed back garden was perfect for sitting out, keeping our dog safe. There is a large hot tub too. The owner, Craig, was very friendly and quick to sort out any issues we had. As a family of 8 adults, we had a lovely time here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Victoria
A beautiful house in a beautiful location! We will definitely be back
Lovely house, well decorated and very clean. Ideal for a family event and made good use of the hot tub. Caught the train to Scarborough which was just a 6 minute ride away. Enjoyed the local parkrun which is 10 minutes away by car. Lovely and quiet location. Will definitely book this again
A beautiful property. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here. This was our second time staying here and won't be our last.
Stunning house let down by some minor things, especially for the price. Bedding was low quality with lumpy quilts. The coffee machine needed a clean. Overall though we really enjoyed our stay in the Seamer Manor house and these minor things can be easily remedied. A welcome pack would also have been appreciated as is usually the norm in this type of accommodation.
Louise
Absolutely beautiful property with everything we needed nothing has been overlooked. Would highly recommend this property. We are a family with 3 generations from 5 up to 72 and was perfect for us all.
Joanne
We had a fabulous week at The Manor House. The house is amazing and very homely. Craig the owner went above and beyond to make sure everything was ok and even popped in for a beer with us. We will definitely be returning.
Great property with lovely furnishings. Owner Craig was very helpful and available for any questions we had. All round perfect trip
Simone
Eight ladies stayed at the Manor House this weekend, the photos do not do the property justice. This house is stunning, warm, comfortable and in a beautiful setting. The owner was available by phone if any issues and even made sure the house was dressed for Christmas on request. We used the hot tub which was spotless and huge, you need to add in the description towels available as that was a lovely touch. We will definitely return to the Manor House.
What is not to like about the Manor House. Beautiful kitchen dining lounge area. Its a huge space. Super comfy beds. And a lovely hot tub The house is down a small lane so no traffic noise. However within walking distance of the pub. Seamer is perfectly placed for exploring Scarborough Filey Bridlington and Whitby. Seamer even has its own train station with direct trains to the coast. Craig is on call should you need him. We didnt. We were a family party with kids and partners in early 20s and all want to go back Book the Manor House you really wont be disappointed

We stayed at manor house for a family celebration it was amazing the house was stunning everything in the house you needed beds were all made up plenty of towels for the hot tub to we could not fault anything would highly recommend

We had a fantastic stay, host was very warm in reaching out ahead of time in case we had any questions. Allowed early entry when available. Beautiful property, we had a great time! Will definitely be visiting again.
Louise
Gorgeous house, we were very comfortable and happy with it. High quality appliances and finish. Couple of things needed a little attention, left a note for owner, coffee machine was brilliant, just needed a clean, that sort of thing. We would recommend it in a heartbeat though
Rebecca
Beautifully presented property, facilities were amazing, felt very clean and homely. Myself and my friends who stayed absolutely loved our time there. Thank you.
Beautiful holiday home, well equipped and comfortable. The facilities were good, huge TVs and a lovely hot tub. Lots of space inside and parking for a large family gathering. To improve I would suggest redecorating the single room in a more neutral colour, it is currently very feminine not to the taste of teenage grandsons! The travel cot is small, only suitable for a baby not a toddler. I would like more housekeeping information how to work the microwave, when to put bins out etc. Overall a really nice property which we would be happy to return to in future.
This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and will definitely be booking again. The only suggestion I would make is a pool table in the smaller living room or in the room to the right if the front door as you come in. This is a personal choice and not a criticism I just think it would be a real asset for families like mine with varied agegroups. Excellent all round as usual.
Joanna
We had a gorgeous stay here with beautiful weather. In a private off road area with really lovely walks. A really big house to host a partyfamily gathering and a really friendly, helpful owner
We had a fantastic stay. Lovely house with excellent facilities and plenty to do in the local area.
We have just returned home after a fantastic week at Manor House and we cant praise it enough. Beautiful decor throughout and all the facilities we could need, along with a lovely big garden for us all to enjoy. Craig owner was very helpful also, letting us know of local attractions and we were even able to access the property early which with a small child was so helpful. We will definitely be returning.
Upon arrival I had immediate regret that I had not booked a long stay. The house is amazing, well equipped and beautifully set out. We were a party of 10 ranging from age 5 77 and all loved the place. Craig the owner phoned me in the day of check in to wish me a happy birthday and to tell me the house was ready early. I thought this was a lovely touch. I can certainly see why people comeback here. This is by far the best. Holiday home I have ever stopped in.
Bernadette
Beautiful house extremely well equipped. We all enjoyed our stay enormously. I would certainly recommend this property.
Kerrie
Wow what a place! We have stopped in lots of holiday rentals but this has by far been the best! The entertainment space is amazing. The house had everything and more you could need and the hot tub was an amazing bonus. The host was accommodating and met us at the property. Its in a lovely little village near some great pubs. We will definitely be back again because this place is 10 star
Suzanne
I met Craig on arrival, he was very welcoming and shown me around his lovely property. The weekend was for our annual group of friends trip. We had a fab time the house is very well equipped, great location and lots of space for a group of 8! Would definitely recommend this property it is well worth the price and we may well return another year
We had a fantastic week stay at Manor House 5 adults and a two year old. The house was fantastic with large screen tvs, 2 sitting rooms and a huge hot tub for a great spa at the end of the day! Seamer village is lovely, the general store was one of the best smaller shops weve shopped at and even stocks Cook food. Seamer is well placed and only takes a 15 min drive to the beaches at Scarborough. Loads to do our highlights were visiting Castle Howard for Christmas and the Sea Life centre. Craig was a great host, really responsive to any queries, contacted us before our stay too. We will definitely be back!!
Terence
We had a wonderful week with all the family the hot tub was well used and a great kitchen for entertaining . We found plenty to do in the area walking in the Dolby Forrest and go Ape the fish and chips in the village were very good.
This is a beautiful house , set down a private lane and only a couple of minutes from the beach . The house itself is so well set out , a big open plan kitchen dining and living room , and bifold doors which open out ito a garden with a hot tub and seating . Loads of room to spread out , 5 bedrooms to share and plenty of parking .The owner Craig was in touch to check in with us and make sure we had everything we needed and was very helpful , i would highly recommend this property , its perfect for a family get together and i wouldnt be too surprised if we booked again .
Jacqueline
Wonderful property, couldnt fault it in any way. Given the opportunity would definitely stay at this property again.
Can not fault this place at all it was amazing. Immaculate throughout. Did not want to leave
Just spent a week at Manor House as a family gathering with 9 of us! What a perfect week, the house is beautiful and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Craig the owner checked in with us to ensure everything was okay and was available if we needed anything! Manor House is in a really nice location and you cannot stop here without having fish and chips from Seamer Fisheries, they were delicious! We will definitely be returning! The only negative was that the week went far too quickly!
Nicholas
Fabulous time in this beautiful home. Group of eleven people all ages from 85yrs to 8 months old, plus 2 dogs. Lovely enclosed garden safe for small children and dogs, hot tub which we used several times in the week. Kitchen very well equipped with lots of extras, all 4 double bedrooms all large, and even the large single could just fit in a double bed if wanted. Maybe a bit more information on how to work some of the kitchen's equipments worked eg lights under kitchen units as we couldn't work out how to turn off during the day. Craig the owner was very helpful when we needed his help. Thank you for a lovely time
Pauline
We had a fantastic time staying here. It provided everything we needed. A great location in a lovely village with shop and restaurants within walking distance. One restaurantpub even had an indoor softplay for the kids so we walked along there a few nights. But equally a short drive into Scarborough or to Flamingo Land for fun day out then back home to chill in the luxury and comfort of the house. The house was equipped with everything we could possibly need and the owner was in touch to check we were ok. Provided the perfect stay for us and will definitely be going back. Cannot recommend enough!
Richard
The Manor House is in a great location, modern styling with great facilities throughout. If we are in the area again, this would be the place to book. The owner was very helpful and checked in to ensure all was as it should be , which it was with no issues at all.
Jacqueline
Lovely house great location would definitely visit again
I cant recommend this house highly enough, weve just returned after 4 days with my family of 7, this house is amazing, plenty of room for everyone to be together. The second sitting was ideal as my dad has dementia, so that extra space for him to retreat to was perfect. The kitchen was an absolute dream. The bedrooms were very spacious and beautiful decorated, as were the bathrooms. Craig the owner was very attentive, nothing was too much trouble . Thank you Craig we will definitely be back. Ive already raved about to to friends and family
Had a fantastic weekend! The house was absolutely gorgeous and had everything we needed! Plenty of space and lots of luxuries provided. Beautiful soft bedding and all of us had a restful time! Will definitely be back for a family gathering in the future. Thanks to the owner for checking in with us to make sure we were happy.
Ohhh WOW what a place ! !! We booked The Manor House to celebrate a 60th Birthday with family 4 adult couples. The listing made the house sound amazing but the reality was beyond our expectations. The location was perfect & although we did go to one of the pubs in the villages & had a trip to Scarborough we really wanted to spend time in the house together. All the bedrooms were spacious & luxurious so there was no arguing over allocation & noone was disappointed. The kitchen lounge was perfect for group get togethers with plenty of seating. The equipment was all of an extremely high quality far better than my own home
The property was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. It matched the description perfectly. Would highly recommend.
Jonathan
Very enjoyable stay in Manor House. Ten of us met up from age 4 to 75. We all enjoyed the spacious rooms and facilities. A great base to explore the coast with good local shops and pubs.
This was a fantastic property and a really high standard. Really nice location too off a quiet road in a village location and all key places are easy to get to. We'd be happy to come back to this property if we were to return to the area.

Betton Farm Visitor Centre - TF9 3PS
about 1 Mile
Betton Farm Visitor Centre is the ideal attraction close to the North Yorkshire coastal town of Scarborough. This animal farm has all the cute farm animals you would expect to see and will appeal to younger children especially.  A great place to both play and learn we think the Betton Farm Visitor centre is great value for money.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs.  Some of the highlights of the day might include meeting Sofie the Shetland Pony and Henry the goat, as well as the pot bellied pigs called Porky and Hammy.
Peasholm Park - YO12 6QQ
about 3 Miles
This attraction is ideal for sunny days as the beautiful park is ideal for wandering out and taking in the scenery.  You can hire boats including rowing boats and canoes to enjoy the views from the water.  The pedalos with the dragon heads are always a popular choice too. Look out for special events including the Battle of Peasholm Park Naval Battle which has been described as a "must see".  You can also take a ride on the North Bay Railway which will delight children.
Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary - YO12 6RP
about 4 Miles
If you are enjoying a lodge break in the Yorkshire Moors and Coast then a day trip to the Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary highly recommended. This centre is one of the regions most popular attractions and is educational as well as fun. Visitors will enjoy a journey beneath the waves, meeting many strange, beautiful and fascinating creatures of the deep. As well as mighty sharks and beautiful rays guests can get up close to some more common creatures including star fish and can also meet the otters, seals and penguins at feeding time. The site also has children's play area and picnic tables as well as a restaurant and souvenir shop. Family tickets cost £46.80 but the Tourist Information Centres in Scarborough, Whitby or Filey often offer fantastic discounts.
Sea Life Marine Sanctuary - YO12 6RP
about 4 Miles
Located in the Scalby Mills area of Scarborough this makes a fun family day out for those who are interested in marine life. The fantastic ocean tank is well worth seeing - it's been transformed into a Turtle Reef and you can see an amazing array of colourful reef fish and coral. You may also catch a glimpse of the tropical sharks and turtles. Offering good value for money this is a day out with a difference and an all weather attraction.
The Grainary Wildlife Farm - YO25 3HS
about 8 Miles
Located in Harwood Dale Village, North Yorkshire we think this attraction makes a superb family day out and couples will also enjoy the nature walks in the area.  There are 6 nature walks in total surrounding the farm so walkers and lovers of the outdoors will be in their element. Some of our favourite walks include the Spring Flowers, Pond and Village walk which takes around 35 minutes, and the Meadow and Trees walk which takes one hour.
Flamingo Land - YO60 7EW
about 14 Miles
Situated in Malton in North Yorkshire this has to be one of our favourite family days out.  It's a theme park and zoo all in one stretching over a massive 400 acres. With thrilling rides for the very daring like Cliff Hanger, Corkscrew and Kumali, there are also more gentle rides for the little ones such as Frog Hopper and Helitoys.  Family fun attractions include the 4D cinema, the lost river ride and the Little Monsters Den of Mischief. Check out their website for seasonal events which take place throughout the year and you can also gain more information about the zoo.  Flamingo Land is a resort as well as a theme park so you can also book accommodation there.
Castle Howard - YO60 7DA
about 20 Miles
Castle Howard is one of the regions most beautiful and historic landmarks and is located in 1,000 acres of parkland with breathtaking gardens to explore. As well as exploring the castle visitors can enjoy attractios including the unique Land Train - the best way to see the entire park. There is also a large lake offering boat trips during the summer months. In high season the site is very popular with families and offers organised activities for children including tours, talks, crafting and animal encounters. The site also has a Nature Trail which is fun for the whole family and an Adventure Playground where children can run off some energy.
Yorkshire Lavender - YO60 6PB
