We had such a lovely stay at the cottage! It's beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, with everything we needed and more. Sitting by the fire in the evening was so cosyand the hot tub was a real treat. Watching house martins fly overhead and listening to owls at night was magical. The dark sky was stunningand we even saw bats. Honestly, it felt like a little slice of heaven. We'll definitely be returning. Thanks to Jo and the team for making everything perfect!

We loved this cottage! The setting was perfect and super private, making it feel like our own little retreat. The kitchen had everything we neededand the bed was truly comfy. The hot tub was straightforward to useand relaxing by the fire with snacks was just what we needed. Our puppy adored the big garden, didn't want to leave! There's plenty to explore nearby, like Richmond and those waterfalls. Honestly, we couldn't find a fault with it. Definitely recommend!

This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire.  Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour.  You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals.  Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.
Lightwater Valley - HG4 3HT
about 20 Miles
Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.  The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower.  For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel.  Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too.  If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.
Fountains Abbey - HG4 3DY

This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families.  Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit.  The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
