About Pickles Hill Cottage

Enjoying a wonderful position within the picturesque Worth Valley, which was made famous by the classic 1970 film, The Railway Children is Pickles Hill Cottage, situated on the outskirts of Oakworth village. This delightful accommodation boasts beautiful views over Haworth Moors and is perfect for couples or small families to explore West Yorkshire and its magnitude of pretty towns and villages, as well as the North Yorkshire National Park.

Enter into the warmth of the cottage and be welcomed into the sitting room, where the exposed beams frame the traditional-style furnishings, complemented by a gas coal-effect fire, making a tranquil spot to return to at the end of an adventure-filled day. Joining this space is the dining table, where you and your loved ones can gather to tuck into a home-cooked meal that was prepared in the well-equipped kitchen.

Afterwards, look forward to catching your rest in one of the two bedrooms; choose from a double bedroom with elegant furnishings and a single bedroom, ideally set up for a child. Soak up the countryside surroundings further, by taking dining outdoors on the patio, where you can catch a glimpse of the sunset while soaking in the bubbling hot tub.

If you can tear yourself away from this quaint abode, head into the village of Oakworth, where you will find a plethora of amenities, including a choice of pubs and a shop for picking up the essentials. The wonderful country pub The Grouse Inn is only 400 yards away from the cottage and offers a 10% discount on food to guests of the cottage.

Alternatively, travel slightly further afield to Keighley where you will find a larger selection of pubs, restaurants, cafés and tearooms, offering something to suit all tastes, as well as providing access to the attractions of Cliffe Castle Museum and Park, offering a variety of local history and heritage. Be sure to visit the nearby village of Haworth, famous for being the home of the Bronte sisters and the inspiration for many of their famous novels, as well as a variety of quaint eateries for refuelling before exploring the surrounding moorland.

Pickles Hill Cottage Reviews

An absolutely lovely stay at pickles cottage. A lovely quaint cottage with gorgeous original features with lovely decor to compliment this. The hot tub is a wonderful addition. The owners made our experience just perfect, they were extremely accommodating and generally lovely to communicate with. We will definitely return. Thank you again, Amy, Jake and Dougie xx
Bijou character cottage perfect for our stay. Loved the stone and beams, not over facing, very empathetically done. Loved the window seat, furniture and all the soft furnishings, again not in your face, simple but classy, sophisticated. The hot tub was very welcoming not only to start our day, but to relax at the end of the day. Enjoyed breakfast in Haworth at Cobbles and Clay dog friendly and good service.
The property is quaint and cosy with lovely fon
The fire, which is shown in pictures implies that its in use. It isnt. One of the reasons of picking it was for the log fire. The bed is incredibly squeaky and loud, even when moving slightly. The shower wobbles around a lot and isnt attached to the wall well. Otherwise its a nice country cottage, just disappointed in a few things.

Welcome treats were a lovely touch, beautiful views, great location. Hot tub completes the chill vacation.
Our Pickles Hill Cottage review: Nice cottage, quite remote, some good walks from the doorstep. Pub 10 min walk uphill, 5 min back home. The hot tub was fantastic to rejuvenated after a day of rambling.
A very well looked after and fab cottage, could have stayed longer! Will recommend and go again!

Lovely comfortable cottage, delightful surroundings and easy location for walks. Bonus was the excellent pub The Grouse, just up the road with stunning views. Definately would stay there again.

Pickles hill cottage was so clean and cosy we loved our stay here. The area is so picturesque and would definitely recommend the Grouse inn pub literally 5 mins away from the cottage. The owner Leanne messaged on the morning of our stay and also during to make sure everything was ok. Thank you we loved it
