Could not call it a cottage more end of terrace house in the middle of a housing estate the cooker is is a terrible state one side not working door hanging off rest is dirty and rusty dishwasher was left half full of glasses cutlery etc we emptied it but did use it after that upstairs was warm but downstairs we could not keep warm radiators were covered by furniture and log burner wasnt cleaned out and looked past its best with logs for it anyway hot tub had dirt in the bottom everywhere we have stayed in the past hot tubs are checked everyday and finally 2 pubs close by but none of them serve food
We had a lovely stay. Cottage very comfortable and warm. Very quiet location with walks for the dog close by and a park for my grandchild. The hot tub was a great hit with everyone. .

Great access and parking at the cottage Unfortunately there were quite a few ... Great access and parking at the cottage Unfortunately there were quite a few issues requiring attention In the courtyard at the rear of the property is a lovely hot tub which the wife used and enjoyed, although we had an issue with the concrete flooring which had broken into little pieces which were really sharp In the kitchen which is set up very nicely and has plenty of utilities there is an oven which requires a deep clean and ovens fixing The flooring has been damaged in the living room which is a shame as it is a lovely room with really comfortable seating The bed upstairs is really comfortable we slept so well and there was plenty of space The bathroom was lovely also with a great shower We had a great week and the owner was easy to get in touch with and helpful The cottage is in a lovely location but it does require some updating and a good deep clean
Our Hazel Cottage review: Was a beautiful property in a great location the beds were super comfy and the bath i wanted to take home with me it was huge and was perfect after a long day to relax in. We were a little disappointed we went to the butchers and bought some meat for a barbecue but didn't use it has the barbecue needed a deep clean so we had to make do with cooking them inside but was quite a challenge with only 1 oven working but we managed it. Was a relaxing break just what we needed.
A great spot for a relaxing break ,also good for exploring the local area and beyond then returning back for a soak in the hot tub . Everything you need is included in the kitchen and we felt really chilled here .if your a walker or have a dog then this is an ideal base .

Beautiful cottage. We used it as a base because me and my daughter in law were taking part in the Yorkshire Mighty Hike and wanted a hot tub to soothe our aching muscles afterwards. The cottage is fabulously comfy, especially the beds, and well equipped. Owners very responsive to queries and very helpful.
Great place, really enjoyed our stay. Not much interaction with the host but, in all fairness, non really required. The cottage is very comfortable and well supplied couldnt find a cheese grater but would benefit from a little TLC in the maintenance and maybe the back gate could have a lock installed, we bought a padlock to secure the back gate whilst the dogs were outside.
Loved the house! Surrounding area was perfect for taking the dogs out. We visited the Salt and Pepper pots and also walked up to Farnhill pinnacle. Fully intend to revisit Hazel Cottage. Thnx x
