The Mill Loft Gilling West Reviews

Jamie
Really enjoyed our stay! The place was spotless, comfy, with stunning views and that hot tub was a bonus.

Oliver
The cottage was stunning and nestled in such a lovely countryside. We really enjoyed everything - definitely a memorable trip!
James
The location is perfect for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors. If you prefer relaxing, Richmond has plenty of options too. Millstones was super comfyand the hot tub at the end of the day was lovely!
Emma
Really enjoyed our stay! The apartment was cosy, with a lovely balcony and hot tub. Definitely coming back and recommending to friends!
Martin
We found the cottages misleading since they're linked to a wedding venue, which wasn't clear. The neighbour's wedding guests partied loudly until dawnand fireworks were set off late at night during a heatwave-luckily, nothing caught fire! We left a day early and wouldn't stay again, unfortunately. Quite disappointing overall.
Alexis
Honestly, if you're after some peace and quiet, this place might not be for you. We stayed for a week and found ourselves kept awake most nights because of loud guests nearby. We asked the owner if they could do anything about it, but they just brushed us off, saying it was the long evenings that kept everyone up-completely false. The site itself looks lovely, but the noise really spoilt the stay. It's a shame because it's a pretty spot, but we probably won't be coming back. Not worth the price, really.
Emma Roberts
We had an amazing stay! The view from the balcony was stunning and perfect for relaxing. There's loads to explore nearby, or you can just unwind in the hot tub. Definitely planning to return someday, it was brilliant!
Ellie Morgan
We loved the stunning views and the peaceful vibe here. The place really is beautiful, but our cottage was smaller and pricier than expected, which was a bit disappointing. For the same money, we could have gone for a bigger place with more bedrooms. The cleanliness of the rooms could have been better too. Still, we'd return, just probably choose a different cottage with a bit more space inside. Overall, a lovely spot!
Emily
We had a lovely stay in such a charming spot! The owners were genuinely warm and helpful, making us feel right at home. The hot tub was such a treat after a day outand everything inside was really high quality - especially the bed, which might be the most comfy we've ever slept on. Honestly, I'd love to know the brand so we can get one for ourselves! The place is quite cosy and storage is a bit tight, but with a big fridge/freezer, cookerand dishwasher, it's easy to cook in and skip eating out if that's your thing. Really enjoyed our break!

This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire.  Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour.  You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals.  Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.

Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.  The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower.  For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel.  Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too.  If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.

This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families.  Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit.  The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
