Excellent base for touring both Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors. Plenty to do around Richmond if you don't want to go far. Millstones is very comfortable and hot tub and end of day is wonderful.

These cottages are part of a wedding venue advertised separately. Thus giving the wrong impression. Adjoining cottages full of wedding revelers who do not care how they behave. Constant noise untill the early hours. Fireworks set off during the night during a heat wave. Surprised nothing was burt down. Left one day early. Would not return.

Would not recommend to stay here if you wish to have a peaceful holiday. This site is holiday home/event venue. For 5 evenings of our 7 night stay, we were up til early hours due to loud guests around the complex and in other accommodations. Asked owner if they could talk to guests but no avail as it was stated by owner the light evenings cause peo ple to stay up and they are due to check out soon, false! Pretty site but noise was a complete let down, will not be returning. Not worth the money.

Had a fantastic break, loved the outlook from, yet seclusion of the balcony. Plenty to do and see nearby, or just chill on the balcony or in the hot tub, in beautiful surroundings. Would love to come again!

Its a great place. The view is amazing, its very nice and peaceful. However The one cottage we stayed at was very pricey as it was smaller than I expected. So the price wasnt worth that specific cottage. I probably wouldve got another cottage with the same price at the same place with more bedrooms and more space. The rooms cleaning was not brillia nt. I would definitely book again but definitely another cottage with a more open space inside

We had a lovely stay at Millstones, a near perfect retreat for a couple's getaway. A very well-appointed apartment that has been finished to a high standard, we were so comfortable we barely ventured further than the hot tub during our 3 day stay. The apartment is a warm and cosy dwelling that has everything you need for a relaxing stay - we will b e back.

We had a fab break in a beautiful location. The owners were really friendly & helpful - the hot tub was perfect & the fittings and furnishings are quality - the bed was probably one, if not the most comfortable we have ever slept on. In fact I would love to know the make so we can buy one for our own home. The property is very bijou and storage is limited - however there is a large fridge/freezer, cooker & dishwasher so no need to go out & shop or eat if you are happy to do your own catering

This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire. Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour. You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals. Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.

Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family. The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower. For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel. Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too. If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.

This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families. Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit. The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
