Sunset Gem Reviews

A lovely stay. The view over the field is beautiful, especially at sunset. The property is immaculate. Comfortable beds, with a small hanging rail for clothes. The kitchen has everything you could need well stocked with utensils. We like that the area is secure just the two properties on site. Very peaceful and a relaxing stay.
Beautiful, spacious yet still cosy, property in a great location for exploring. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and will certainly look to return in the future.

Beautiful property great location A nice touch would be a little welcome pack such as just essentials
Our stay was amazing and would definitely recommend to anyone. The hottub was lovely with the lights around the hottub, the cabin itself was really clean. Only thing that could make it better was if there was a mirror in the bedrooms to get ready with.
We had a lovely few days at Sunset Gem. It was well located in a rural village for quiet evenings star gazing but within easy reach of local towns and the sea. The hot tub was lovely after a day of sightseeing although we did have to be extra careful on the decking when it got icy!. The pod itself had everything we needed for our stay and was very well presented. My only feedback would be that soft furnishings such as a rug or curtains on the entrance windows might have helped to make it a little warmer and cosier but the nest heating system did keep us warm throughout the stay.
Our Sunset Gem review: Amazing! The property is exactly as described. It is a pod and so it does have a small kitchen area but what more can you ask with a hob, oven and microwave. There are plenty of utensils, pans and oven trays. There is space in drawers and the pan cupboard to store food if required and a full size fridge and freezer. The main thing for us is cleanliness and everywhere was immaculate. The beds were comfortable, I slept really well. Each of the bedrooms have a TV and a hanging rail with coat hangers. The view was beautiful, across fields and it was lovely to watch the sun set and the sky turn golden. We can see how the property got its name! The grounds are fully enclosed, plenty of parking. The hot tub was perfect. We booked some time ago but then to see some of the reviews I did wonder what to expect. All I can say is our experience was brilliant. Yes, it is a small, compact pod but you can clearly see from the photographs what it is. The living area was actually bigger than I expected. We would highly recommend and we will be returning.

It helped that we had great weather for our long weekend away but the pod was comfy, clean and secure for our pooch. Hot tub was a bonus!
Overall the lodge was lovely and in a great location for exploring Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington. The lodge comes fully equipped with everything you would need kitchen, fridge oven etc Flies did seem to be an issue but nevertheless the lodge was everything as described

What a lovely, peaceful, little pod! Its very modern, up to date, comfortable and cosy. I was fortunate to have the whole place to myself, as the other pod was empty. It had everything I needed apart from a mirror, positioned somewhere for my hairdryer to reach, to dry my hair. The only issue I had was with the flies. I couldnt have any of the windows or the door open, which detracted from the whole experience. I appreciate its not the owners fault, and I wouldnt know what to suggest to be honest. Maybe an electric fly killerzapper? The only other thing Id suggest is getting a small, cordless vacuum. I was only there for 3 nts but felt the need to want to vacuum round in the living area especially with all the dead flies! There was a dust pan & brush, but I struggle to bend down. Brilliantly situated for the coast and beaches, with the bonus of being able to retreat from the busy areas to peace and tranquility. The weather wasnt great so I didnt use the hot tub unfortunately! As much as it was lovely to have the sun streaming in through the windows, whilst setting, I wanted blindscurtains. I wouldnt have liked to have experienced that on a really hot day.
