Longlands Farm Cottage is a traditional, 17th century country cottage nestled on the outskirts of Cartmel in a stunning rural location. This property is on a site featuring four luxury pods, and can be booked together.
Boasting plenty of character, a luxury private garden with hot tub and ample off-road parking, Longlands Farm Cottage provides an exceptional base for families and friends, looking to escape to the Lakelands for some time. After a day of countryside rambling, make yourself comfortable within the living/dining room, boasting a restored inglenook fireplace, oak beams, a woodburning stove, Smart TV, and chesterfield sofas, perfect for a movie night in.
The dining area provides the ideal setup for mealtimes, offering splendid oak furniture to set the scene. Dust off those cooking books and impress the group with a hearty meal prepared in the kitchen, making use of the electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine and the dishwasher for cleaning up.
There is also a handy utility room for bike storage and drying with washer/dryer, perfect for when your trails take off on a muddier route. Completing the ground-floor is the family bathroom with feature, roll-top bath, inviting you for lazy soaks, plus there is a walk-in shower.
Move upstairs and past the ancient oak doors to reach the bedrooms, with two super-king-size doubles and a bunk, each neutrally presented. Head outside and walk just 15 meters across a courtyard to reach the exceptional garden, with a lawned area, furniture and a barbecue for alfresco dining and a six person hot tub to relax in.
If you can tear yourself away from this desirable abode, head into the village of Cartmel and book a table at the renowned Michelin starred restaurant before sampling the world-famous Sticky Toffee Pudding in the village shop. Wander along the riverside and take in the idyllic scenery before stopping at a local pub for a pint.
